The Jourdanton Chamber of Commerce met Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 5:30 pm
at the Jourdanton Library.
The following were present:
Directors: Mary Cardenas, Jane Andrus, Jeff Chicoine, Bill Schuchman, Jack Harrison, Jeanette Harrison, Michele Higginbotham, Susan Netardus, Ronnie Pitts, Joyce Steinle, Sandy Steinle.
Members: Karen Pesek, Katie Schuchman, Johnny Costales, Wendy Pitts

Meeting was called to order and Johnny Costales from Cricket Wireless-Jourdanton briefly spoke as a part of our Education Committee initiative to inform/educate members on relevant member topics.
Executive:
Secretary's Report…Minutes: Moved by Jeff, seconded by Bill. Passed.
Treasurer’s Report: none
Vice President's Report: none
President’s Report: Attended both Workforce Solutions events. Mary Cardenas is an ambassador.
Committee Reports:
Membership: Will follow up with Dorman Wholistic Health on ribbon cutting. Marquee is running.
Community: Karen bought popcorn for National Night Out and will submit for reimbursement. Susan will coordinate with police to transport items. Margaret is in talks with VFD on Christmas event to include a parade. Jane suggested November 19th (26th as a backup) to decorate Fantasy Island. Talks on Independence Celebration for 2024. July 6th and if possible July 4th were suggested as possible dates for Karen to price out.
Education: Monthly information from members. Input on what more you would want. Bill mentioned info from political candidates.
Other Items Discussed: Jourdanton Sign by the hospital…Karen is addressing the leak and possible concreting from a city standpoint. Bill is looking into welding services to preserve current sign.
Next Chamber Meeting: Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Jourdanton Community Center.
